Abstract

The wireless communication system includes a first wireless terminal (A) and a plurality of second wireless terminals (B). The first wireless terminal (A) transmits a synchronization signal. The synchronization signal comprises a plurality of reference signals each including a reference data indicative of a relation between the corresponding reference signal and a reference time. The second wireless terminal (B) includes a timer () configured to output an activation signal at a regular interval, a control unit (), and a synchronization unit (). The control unit () activates a wireless receiver () each time it receives the activation signal from the timer (). When the wireless receiver () receives the synchronization signal, the synchronization unit () refers to the reference data obtained from the earliest reference signal and a reception time of the earliest reference signal, and determines the reference time. The synchronization unit () controls the timer () to output the activation signal after a lapse of a predetermined time from the reference time. The control unit () controls a wireless transmitter () to transmit a wireless signal during a period including a time period of receiving the activation signal from the timer ().
