Abstract
Correlation detectorsandemploy two different correlation detecting methods to determine correlations. Correlation comparatorsandoutput correlation values DFand DF, and motion vectors MVand MVin directions representing largest correlation values. A correlation comparatorselects one of the motion vectors larger in correlation, as a motion vector MV, to output an interpolation control signal FSto determine an interpolation method at an interpolator. The interpolatoris operative in accordance with the interpolation control signal FS, to select any one out of two different one-side interpolations and a both-side interpolation, to generate interpolation pixel data fp
