Abstract

An organic EL (electroluminescence) element capable of efficiently recombining holes and electrons in a light emitting layer and also improving efficiency and lifetime of the element. The element comprises electrodesand, the light emitting layer, and transport layersandthat transport holes and electrons to the layer. The layercontains compound functioning as electron accepting dopant and/or substance functioning as electron donating dopant. Accordingly, it is possible to optimize the injection valance of holes or electrons into the layer
