Abstract
Method for assigning a precoding beam forming scheme in a broadband satellite system, wherein said broadband satellite system comprises a multibeam satellite () having a plurality of antennas and a plurality of satellite beams, a gateway () and a number N of satellite terminals (ST, ST. . . ST, ST. . . ), and wherein said gateway () is configured for processing and serving a plurality of K beams of said plurality of satellite beams towards said number N of satellite terminals (ST, ST. . . ST, ST, ST. . . ST, ST. . . ), wherein K<N, and wherein said assignation of a precoding beam forming scheme comprises a joint processing over said plurality of K beams.
