Abstract

A method for producing a compound represented by the following formula (2) (wherein, X, Rand m represent respectively the same meaning as described below)which comprises reacting a compound represented by the following formula (1) (wherein, X represents an optionally substituted alkyl group or the like. Rrepresents an optionally substituted alkyl group or the like. m represents an integer of 0 to 4. When m represents an integer of 2 to 4, Rs may be the same or different from each other)with hydrogen cyanide in an amount of 1.2 to 5 mol with respect to 1 mol of the compound, in the presence of an organic base, in an organic solvent.
