Abstract
A plug connector () for mating with a receptacle connector () includes an insulative housing () having a base portion () and a tongue portion () extending forwardly beyond the base portion; a set of contacts () having contacting portions () attached to the tongue portion for mating with the receptacle connector; and a metal shell () having a chamber () with the tongue portion extending therein, a plurality of openings () formed thereon for being locked in by a plurality of resilient fingers () of the receptacle connector, and a set of embossments () located at front of the openings and protruding outwardly of the metal shell for interferentially engaging with the resilient fingers ().
