Abstract

A systemand method for clearing a crushing deviceof tramp material is disclosed. The system comprises at least one dual-acting cylinderwhich serves to both maintain a constant crushing force between a headand bowl, and also provide a clearing stroke to facilitate passage of said tramp material. The body of the at least one dual-acting cylinderis mounted securely to a main framein a self-centering, self-seating arrangement by cylinder mount. The piston rodof the at least one dual-acting cylinderis directly or indirectly mounted securely to an adjustment ringin a self-centering, self-seating arrangement. The piston rodcomprises a first securing memberand a second securing member.
