Abstract
To provide a machine tool capable of preventing even chips in a powder form and coolant from leaking to a feed mechanism side. A slide plateis provided to cover a feed mechanism. The slide plateis fixed to a second headstockto move in an axial direction together with the second headstock. Between the slide plateand a bed side member, a seal portionis provided. The seal portionhas a first slide contact memberprovided on the slide plateand a second slide contact memberwhich is provided on the bed side member and in slide contact with the first slide contact member, and the first and second slide contact membersandrelatively slide while being in contact with each other.
