Abstract

A magnet pole portionis made up of an integral magnetinto which are integrated a main permanent magnet piecewhich is magnetized in the direction of a rotational axis, a pair of auxiliary permanent magnet pieceswhich are disposed at circumferential sides on one side of the main permanent magnet piecewith respect to the direction of the rotational axis, which are each magnetized in the direction of the rotational axis and a direction which is at right angles to a radial direction and on which magnetic poles face each other which are the same as a magnetic pole on the one side of the main permanent magnet piecewith respect to the direction of the rotational axis, and a pair of auxiliary magnet pieceswhich are disposed at circumferential sides on the other side of the main permanent magnet piecewith respect to the direction of the rotational axis, which are each magnetized in the direction of the rotational axis and a direction which is at right angles to a radial direction and on which magnetic poles face each other which are the same as a magnetic pole on the other side of the main permanent magnet piecewith respect to the direction of the rotational axis, with portions of the main permanent magnet piecebeing exposed to a pair of stators
