Abstract

A tufting gripper () comprises a pocket () with an insert () that is associated with a spring means () in order to at least temporarily clamp and secure said insert in place in the pocket in a prespecified position. The spring means () pushes the insert () preferably in the direction of the tip of the gripper and creates a particularly smooth transition at this location between the base body () of the tufting gripper () and the insert (), in particular the tip () of said insert.
