Abstract

A game apparatusmoves an arrow objectin a virtual space, and then determines whether or not a hitting determination areaset for the arrow objectis in contact with a hitting determination areaset for a player character. When the two hitting determination areasare determined to be in contact with each other, the game apparatuscalculates a moving direction of the arrow object. The game apparatusfurther causes the player characterto perform a motion such that at least a part of the player characterturns to a designated direction, which is an opposite direction to the moving direction of the arrow object. A display apparatus displays how the player characterperforms the motion.
