Abstract
A solvent pistonshuttles between first and second positions. In the first position, high pressure air applied to the rearof the solvent pistoncloses a solvent borearound the solvent pistonand prevents passage of solvent into the mix chamber. In the second position, high pressure air is applied to the frontof the solvent pistoncausing it to retract slightly thereby uncovering the solvent bore, closing off the solvent inletand allowing a slug of solvent to mix with the purge airand pass from the solvent outletinto the mix chamber. The solvent is either self contained in the applicator or plumbed eternally to the gun.
