Abstract
A balance () has a balance housing (), a balance pan (), a weighing compartment () that contains the balance pan, a draft shield () with a fixed rear wall (), the draft shield enclosing the weighing compartment, a system of balance electronics (), a weighing cell () arranged below the weighing pan, and a weighing cell compartment () that encases the weighing cell. The weighing cell compartment is atmospherically connected by way of a hollow space () to the upper third of the weighing compartment. The balance electronics are arranged at the rear wall outside of the weighing compartment.
