A material for an organic electroluminescence device including an indenofluorenedione derivative shown by the following formula (I): wherein Xand X, which may be the same or different, are any of specific divalent groups; Rto R, which may be the same or different, are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocycle, a halogen atom, a fluoroalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group or a cyano group; and Rto Ror Rto Rmay be bonded to each other to form a ring.
