Abstract
A differential device for a vehicle includes a differential casing, pinion shaftsconnected to through-holes of the differential casing, pinion gearssupported by the pinion shafts, a differential mechanismhaving side gearsmeshing with the pinion gears, a limited-slip differentialfor limiting a differential rotation of the differential mechanismand an actuatorfor controlling the limited-slip differential. A ring gear is fixed on a flange partof the differential casing. The flange partis positioned on one side of the differential casingin an axial direction of the differential casing disproportionately. The actuatoris arranged so as to abut on the flange part. The differential casingis divided into casing pieces by a parting parton one side of the differential casingin opposition to the flange partin the axial direction.
