Abstract

The present invention relates to a bumper reinforcement for vehicles having a fixing portionto be fixed to a vehicle structural member at a part of the bumper reinforcement in a longitudinal direction. The bumper reinforcement is constituted by an integrally molded product obtained by deforming a hollow extruded product by plastic working. When the fixing portionand vicinities thereof is defined as a reinforced portion, light-weighted portionandsmaller in second moment of area and cross-sectional area than the reinforced portionare provided at least part of a non-reinforced portion constituted by a portion other than the reinforced portion. This makes it possible to decrease the number of parts and trim the weight while securing strength.
