Abstract

The present invention includes a liquid detergent composition which yields superior detergency and whitening effects, exhibits excellent storage stability, and comprises 50 to 70% by mass of nonionic surfactant (A) represented by formula (I) or formula (I'), 1 to 10% by mass of anionic surfactant (B), and 0.05 to 1% by mass of 4,4′-bis(2-sulfostyryl)biphenyl disodium salt serving as fluorescent whitening agent (C).RCO—(OR)—OR  (I)R—O—(RO)-H  (I′) In formula (I), Rrepresents a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group of 5 to 21 carbon atoms; Rrepresents an alkylene group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms; Rrepresents an alkyl group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and n is 5 to 30. In formula (I′), Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group derived from a secondary alcohol of 8 to 30 carbon atoms; Rrepresents an alkylene group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms; and m is 5 to 20.
