Abstract
A crib bumper () includes a mattress-receiving base (), and a continuous sidewall or row of bumper elements () attached to, and extending upright relative to, the base () encircling and defining a mattress-receiving opening () into a mattress-receiving area (A) formed by base (). A supporting spine () is coupled between the base () and each of the bumper elements () maintaining the bumper elements () upright relative to the base ().
