Abstract

An organic electroluminescent device comprises: a pair of electrodes; and at least one organic compound layer therebetween, the at least one organic compound layer comprises at least a light-emitting layer, wherein at least one of the at least one organic compound layer comprises at least one compound represented by formula (1): Formula (1): wherein Qto Qeach independently represents an atomic group for forming an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring in combination with two carbon atoms in formula (1); Aand Aeach independently represents a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; and Qand Qeach independently represents an atomic group for forming an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic heterocyclic ring in combination with Aand Arespectively, provided that Qand Qare not combined through a single bond, a divalent aromatic hydrocarbon ring group or a divalent aromatic heterocyclic ring group.
