Abstract

An iontophoresis device activated in use, which is capable of supplying a dissolution liquid in an amount that depends on the amount of a drug when it is used, is provided. This iontophoresis device activated in use comprises: an absorberformed of a material containing a dry drugand capable of absorbing a liquid; a wall materialdisposed around the absorber, having an adhesive layeron the undersurface thereof; a supportdisposed on the absorberand the wall material, having an openingin the central portion thereof; an electrodedisposed on the undersurface of the support; a diaphragmdisposed on the support; and a dissolution liquid reservoirdisposed on the diaphragm, retaining a dissolution liquid for dissolving the drug between the diaphragmand itself, and having a protruding portionfor destroying the diaphragmby pressing force. The protruding portionhas a linear apical portion, for example, and it is disposed so that it is allowed to come into contact with or is close to the diaphragm. A lineris removably attached on the undersurface of both the absorberand the adhesive layer
