The wireless LAN deviceincludes a packet transmission controllerhaving the function of transmitting a DHCPDISCOVER packet from a LAN switchto wired devices and the function of causing an RF device to transmit a Probe Request packet to other wireless LAN devices through an antenna; a first operation controllerthat can set the wireless LAN devicein the operating mode where the wireless LAN devicecan operate as an access point, when the wireless LAN devicereceives DCHPOFFER packet; and a second operation controllerthat can set the wireless LAN devicein the operating mode where the wireless LAN devicecan operate as a client, when the wireless LAN devicereceives a Probe Response packet.
