Abstract
In a thermally assisted magnetic recording head (A), a sub-mount (A) on which a laser diode is mounted is arranged between an HGA () and a magnetic head slider (). The sub-mount has a wiring line () which electrically connects a terminal () arranged on the magnetic head slider () and a terminal () arranged on the HGA ().
