Abstract
A wireless network () with at least a first radio communication unit () and a second radio communication unit () transmits and receives signals with minimal interference from the surrounding environment of the first unit () and second unit (). The first radio communication unit () determines frequencies () having power level above a threshold (), and creates a list of these frequencies () to be transmitted to the second radio communication unit (). The second radio communication unit () places notches () in its transmission band () based on frequencies () in the list (), reserved frequencies (), and local frequencies () having signal energy above a threshold (). When transmitting a signal (), the second radio communication unit () avoids transmitting in frequencies that have notches ().
