Abstract
Provided is a continuous process for preparing 1,1,2,3-tetrachloro-1-propene having the steps of catalytically dehydrochlorinating CHClCClCHCl in the gas phase to produce CHCl═CClCHCl; chlorinating the CHCl═CClCHCl to form CHClCClCHCl; and catalytically dehydrochlorinating the CHClCClCHCl in the gas phase to form CCl═CClCHCl.
