Abstract
A female terminal () has a main portion () and contact pieces () that project from that main portion () in a facing state. A male terminal () is accommodated into an accommodation space () surrounded by the contact pieces (). The accommodation space () is mainly formed by horizontal holes () that open laterally. Cross-sectional shapes of surfaces (S) of the contact pieces () forming the horizontal holes () cut along a cutting plane crossing an axial center of the main portion () are straight lines.
