Abstract
A home laundry drier () having a revolving drum () for housing the laundry to be dried, a hot-air generator () for circulating a stream of hot air inside the drum (), and a steam generator () for feeding steam into the drum (); the steam generator () having an electric boiler () designed to receive a given quantity of water and immediately convert it into a stream of low-pressure steam to be fed into the drum (), a demineralized-water reservoir () located over and communicating with the electric boiler (), and a lint filter () located upstream from the water reservoir (); the water reservoir () receiving distilled water from the water canister () of the heat exchanger () of the hot-air generator () via a water drain circuit (); and the laundry drier () also having a liquid level sensor () for determining when the water in the water reservoir () is below a given minimum level, and a central control unit () for determining whether the water reservoir () is in a given low-water-level condition at both the start and end of a user-selected drying cycle not including activation of the steam generator ().
