Abstract
A device for charging a battery system having a number of individual voltage sources situated in a series circuit is provided, which device uses a voltage source and a respective bypass associated with each of the individual voltage sources. A charge current Iis supplied from the voltage source via the bypasses to the individual voltage sources as a function of their charge condition.
