A method for interpolating steering vectors a(θ) of a sensor network, the sensor network receiving signals transmitted by a source, characterized in that, for the interpolation of the steering vectors a(θ), use is made of one or more omnidirectional modal functions z(θ)where z(θ)=exp(jθ) where θ corresponds to an angle sector on which the interpolation of the steering vectors is carried out.
