Abstract
There is provided a fastener which can be fixed in a mounting hole in an ensured fashion and which can be removed from the mounting hole in an easy and ensured fashion. This fastenerincludes a main bodywhich is fixed in a mounting hole and a pin member for releasing the engagement of the main bodywith the mounting hole. The main bodyhas a base portionand a leg portion, a pair of elastic engagement piecesare provided on the leg portion, and distal end portionsof the elastic engagement piecesare extended towards an insertion openingin the pin member. The pin memberhas a head portionand an insertion portion, and a pressing surfaceis provided on the insertion portionfor pressing the distal end portionsso as to deflect the pair of elastic engagement piecesinwards to such an extent that the elastic engagement pieces are not brought into engagement with the mounting hole when the pin memberis pushed in a predetermined distance. A pin-side engagement portion and a main-body-side engagement portion are provided between the pin memberand the base portionof the main bodyfor holding the pin memberin a predetermined pushed-in position when the pin memberis inserted into the base portion
