Abstract

The invention relates to an optoelectronic angle sensor for determining a rotational angle about an axis, comprising a code carrier () provided with a flat coding () and a photosensitive detector. The code carrier () and the detector can be displaced about the axis in relation to each other. Said angle sensor also comprises a device for producing an evaluable image of at least one part of the coding on the detector such that the image contains information relating to a rotational position of the code carrier () in relation to the detector, in addition to an evaluation unit for determining the rotational angle from the image. The coding () is self-luminous and it also comprises at least part of the device for producing an evaluable image.
