Abstract
In the present invention, in order to provide an electrode active material that has a high capacity density and from which a large current can be extracted and to provide a battery that has a high energy density and produces a large output, in a battery comprising at least a cathode, an anode and an electrolyte, a polyradical compound having a partial structure represented by the following general formula (2) is used as an electrode active material for at least one of the cathode and the anode, wherein, in the formula (2), Rto Rindependently represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and Rto Rindependently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms.
