Abstract
The capacitor includes element () provided with electrodes at its both ends; metal case () with cathode electrode () of element () joined to a joint part on the inner bottom surface of metal case (), containing cathode electrode (); and a terminal plate with anode electrode () of element () joined to a joint part on the inner surface of the terminal plate, sealing the opening of metal case (). S<S<Sholds, where Sis the area of joint part () of metal case (); Sis the area of joint part () of the terminal plate; Sis the touching area of the inner bottom surface and element (), excluding joint part () of metal case (). When the terminal plate arranged on element () inside metal case () is pressurized, joint part () of metal case () crushes cathode electrode () of element (), and then joint part () of the terminal plate crushes anode electrode () of element (). Accordingly, both electrodes () of element () can be laser-welded stably in a desired crush amount, thereby improving reliability of joining.
