Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method for the stereoselective production of cis-4-tertbutylcyclohexanol comprising contacting 4-tert-butylcyclohexanone with hydrogen gas, a catalyst comprising a ruthenium-aminophosphine complex and a base, wherein the complex is of the formula RuX(PNH)(P)(I), wherein X is anionic ligand, (PNH) represents an aminophosphine ligand of the formula (II) RRP-L-NHand (P) represents a diphosphine ligand of the formula (III) RRP-L-PRR.
