A compound represented by the following general formula (I): [wherein Rrepresents hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group, A and B represent —(CH)—, —(CH)—or —(CH)—, X represents —N(R)—CO—(Rrepresents hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group), —CO—N(R)—(Rrepresents hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group), —C(R)═C(R)—(Rand Rrepresent hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group), or —N(R)—SO—(Rrepresents hydrogen atom or a Calkyl group), and Ar represents an aryldiyl group or a heteroaryldiyl group], which has a retinoid action and is useful as an active ingredient of a medicament.
