Abstract
A yokefor universal joint of the present invention comprises: an insertion portionwhich is formed in cylindrical shape opening along an axial direction of a rotating shaft and into which the one end side of the rotating shaft is inserted; a first tightening portionand the second tightening portionbeing a pair of tightening portionswhich is extended from the insertion portionso as to face each other with the opening of the insertion portionbetween them; and a boltand nutfor tightening the pair of tightening portionsfrom either outside thereof, and the pair of tightening portionsis tightened, thereby the rotating shaft inserted into the insertion portionis held and fixed. The boltis inserted into a through holeof the first tightening portion. The nutis fitted into a through holeof the second tightening portionso as to engage with the second tightening portion, and is formed so that at least a part of the end surface on the side facing the first tightening portionis extended toward the first tightening portionside and a gap S between them is a predetermined gap.
