Abstract
Axial piston compressor, especially a compressor for the air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle, having a housing and, for drawing in and compressing a coolant, a compressor unit arranged in the housing and driven by means of a drive shaft, the compressor unit comprising pistons, which move axially back and forth in a cylinder block, and a tilt plate(tilt ring; wobble plate or swash plate), which drives the pistons and rotates together with the drive shaft, wherein the tilt plateor a tiltable part thereof associated therewith has locationsof reduced amassing of material and/or locations which consist of a material which is different from the material from which the rest of the tilt plateor tiltable part thereof is made, those locations bringing about a specific effect on the regulation behavior of the compressor in such a way that in a region of small tilt angles of the tilt plateor tiltable part thereof, especially in a tilt angle range from 0° to 8°, especially 0° to 3°, a moment directed to a very large extent in the same direction as an advancing moment of the tilt plateis achieved so that the tilt moment of the tilt platein the afore-mentioned tilt angle range is increased (accelerated up-regulation of the compressor).
