Abstract

The organic EL device () comprises: a substrate (); a light emitting unit formed on the substrate (), and including an anode (), a cathode () having anelectric resistance lower than that of the anode (), an organic light emitting layer () formed between the anode () and the cathode (); an anode terminal () formed on the substrate () and connected to the anode (), and a cathode terminal () formed on the substrate () and connected to the cathode (). A surface of the anode terminal () connected to the external is applied into an anode connecting surface (), and a surface of the cathode terminal () connected to the external is applied into a cathode connecting face (). The size (S) of the anode connecting surface () is larger than the size (S) of the cathode connecting surface ().
