Abstract

A DC power supplyis connected with the DC-type high voltage generatorthat boosts the power supply. A negative output terminaland a positive output terminalof the generatorare respectively connected to a cathode electrodeand an anode electrode. A dielectric sheetwith appropriate relative permittivity and certain range of volume resistivity is closely attached on the cathode electrode surface opposed to the anode electrode. The cathode electrodetogether with the dielectric sheetconstitutes a DC-type dielectric barrier electrode. The power supplyand the generatorare disposed on an upper surface of a belt-type attachment, and the discharge electrodeand the anode electrodeare disposed on the lower surface thereof. The electrodesandbecome opposed to each other upon wrapping the attachmentaround the affected part of a subject.
