Abstract
A thermoplastic composition comprising in combination a polycarbonate, an impact modifier composition comprising ABS or BABS, a second impact modifier different from BABS or ABS, an aromatic vinyl copolymer, and a gel-type low gloss additive, wherein the 60° gloss of the thermoplastic composition is measured to be less than or equal to 11.3 GU on 3 millimeter chips having a textured surface when measured according to ASTM D2457, and wherein a molded sample of the thermoplastic composition has a low temperature notched Izod impact at −40° C. of at least 30 KJ/mwhen measured according to ISO 180/1A is disclosed. The composition has low gloss and a significantly improved balance of properties.
