Abstract
A connector-mounting construction has a bracket () with a mounting hole () and a to-be-locked plate () adjacent to the mounting hole (). A connector () has an end configured for insertion through the mounting hole () and a flange () dimensioned contacting the rear surface of the bracket (). An insertion groove () extends into the flange () parallel to a front surface of the flange (). A metal lock () has an insertion portion () in the insertion groove () and a locking piece () projecting forward along a side of the connector (). The locking piece () has at least one resiliently deformable locking projection () with a rearwardly facing locking surface () configured for locking edge forwardly facing edge () the to-be-locked plate () of the bracket () when the flange () of the connector () contacts the rear surface of the bracket ().
