Abstract

Methods and systems for reducing mercury emissions from fluid streams having a high concentration of sulfur oxide species are provided herein. In embodiments, mercury is removed from flue gas streams containing sulfur trioxide (SO) by injecting a dry admixture of a porous mercury adsorptive material and at least one dry agent into the flue gas stream.
