Abstract
The present invention is to provide a banknote storing and feeding unitcapable of increasing the maximum storage quantity of banknoteand stably storing and feeding banknote A first tapeand a second tapeare pressed by a tape pressing bodybetween first and second winding reelsandand a winding drumso as to come into contact with each other. Even the banknotehaving a short length in a transporting direction is held between the first tapeand second tapeat a position of the tape pressing bodyfor transportation. An outer diameter of the winding drumis detected by an outer diameter detecting unit, and the tape pressing bodyis moved by a moving unitin accordance with the detected outer diameter of the winding drum, and the tape pressing bodyis moved to an appropriate position following a change in the outer diameter of the winding drum. Thus, the maximum storage quantity of the banknotecan be increased and the banknotecan be stably stored and fed.
