Abstract
A storage apparatus has a channel board; a drive board; a cache memory; a plurality of processor boardsthat transfer data; and a shared memory. The channel boardstores a frame transfer tablecontaining information indicative of correspondence between a LDEVand each of the processor boards, set in accordance with a right of ownership that is a right of access to the LDEV. The processor boardsstore LDEV control informationin a local memory, which is referred to by the processor board at the time of access. The channel boardtransfers a data frame that forms the received data I/O request, to one of the processor boardscorresponding to the LDEVspecified from the information contained in the frame by using the frame transfer table
