Abstract

A communication path setup apparatus which is capable of causing newly added nodes to take over information on configurations of disconnected nodes as they are. An existing piece of communication equipment of a music system is selected. A non-existing piece of communication equipment having a predetermined relationship with the selected existing piece of communication equipment is searched for, and the found non-existing piece of communication equipment is presented as designatable communication equipment. Configuration information on a designated non-existing piece of communication equipment is reflected on configuration information on the selected existing piece of communication equipment.
