Abstract
The present invention aims to certainly use an electronic program guide. According to the present invention, a switch circuit partfor connecting a first tunerand a second tunersthat take in a television signal Son plural channels including a program guide providing channel and select one of them, to a first and a second signal processing systemsandthat perform predetermined processing to the television signal S, and a VBI slicerthat extracts an electronic program guide from the television signal Son the program guide providing channel, is controlled so that the first and the second signal processing systemsandthat simultaneously perform predetermined different processing to the above one television signal S, are collectively connected to one of the first tunerand the second tuner. Thereby, even in the case where predetermined plural different processing is simultaneously performed to one television signal S, the first or the second tunerorcan be kept for selecting the program guide providing channel, and an electronic program guide can be certainly obtained. Thus, a recording/reproducing apparatus capable of certainly using an electronic program can be accomplished.
