A control unit, after sending information that should be displayed on a sub-display to a sub-control unit, turns power to itself off and enters a standby state. When returning to a power-on state from standby state, first a sub-control unit is started up and a power-on request is made to a main display unit, then, in the interval before completion of start-up of the main control unit, information received from the main control unitwhen it entered standby state is caused to be displayed on the sub-display.
