Abstract
A surveillance camera () comprises a camera housing (), a dehumidifying element () provided in the camera housing (), a current value detection unit () that detects the value of the drive current applied to the dehumidifying element (), a target current value determination unit () that determines a target current value (It), on the basis of a first current value (I) detected at the period start time (t) of a predetermined current change judgment period and a second current value (I) detected at the period end time (t) of the period, and a voltage control unit () that controls the drive voltage applied to the dehumidifying element (). The dehumidifying element () is driven at the target current value (It) until target time (t) to remove a target dehumidification amount (S) from the camera housing () by the target time (t). There is thus provided the surveillance camera () capable of quickly removing moisture when the humidity in the camera housing () is high.
