Abstract
A method for the manufacture of a photosensitizing nanomaterial () and the products thereof are disclosed. The method for the treatment of a biological target () is disclosed. The photosensitizing nanomaterial () comprises a metal complex tetrapyrrole derivative (). The metal complex tetrapyrrole derivative () is attached by an axial covalent bond () to the surface () of a solid nanomaterial (). The solid nanomaterial () has at least one dimension in the nanometer and/or the micrometer range.
