Abstract
A sentinel lymph node detecting apparatusincludes: an excitation light source unitthat illuminates an excitation lightonto a living body observation portionincluding a sentinel lymph nodenear a tumor into which a fluorescent dye that emits fluorescence is injected; an optical filterthat transmits a fluorescence image; an image pickup devicethat is integral with excitation light source unitand picks up fluorescence imagetransmitted through optical filter; an adjusting devicethat adjusts the picked-up observation image; and an image displaying devicethat displays the adjusted observation image. Adjusting deviceadjusts at least one of a luminance and a contrast of the observation image. A lymph node detecting apparatus that is simple in apparatus arrangement, is easy to handle, and enables good images to be obtained is thereby realized.
