Abstract
An intermediate transfer body is provided. An intermediate transfer body includes an intermediate transfer belt and a belt cleaning section including a cleaning blade. A plurality of projecting portions extending so as to have a predetermined angle with respect to a width direction of the intermediate transfer belt are provided on a surface of an elastic layer of the intermediate transfer belt. The cleaning blade is formed such that a width Wof one end in a lateral direction thereof is longer than a width Wof the elastic layer in a width direction of the intermediate transfer belt.
